Mohammed Ohid Uddin has been nominated as a council candidate by Liberal democratic local party for the forthcoming by election in Redbridge.
On 6 may 2021 Redbridge council is holding its by election Loxford ward and Seven kings ward. Mr Uddin has been offered to stand to the by election in Loxford ward.
Mr Uddin was selected by the interview panel on last Tuesday and approved his candidacy yesterday approval committee.
Mr Uddin is community and social activist for over 40 years. For last five years he has been working for the party and he has huge contributions to the party including every movement against Brexit.
Mr Uddin has unlimited contributions in the ethnic minority society . He has knowledge, skills and experience to organise and manage the organisation.
At present he is the president of Redbridge community trust ( a voluntary Bangladeshi organisation) .
Mr Uddin has lived in uk for 45 years. Currently he is living in Redbridge since 2015. He has been through tough times in late 70’s and 80’s facing racism. He was attacked many many times by national front and skin heads. It was crucial time to live in London.
Since he moved to Redbridge he identified various issues concerning .
His ambition and passion is to work towards the betterments and safer community .
The knowledge and experience he has acquired will provide him a better understanding as a councillor.
The advantage he has that he speaks several languages.
He has a mission and vision for the community.
