India fire incident in Kashmir killed 3 including Executive Engineer Aninda Kawshal from the Public Works Division Rangamati

Executive Engineer Aninda Kawshal from Rangamati Public Works Division, Emon Dashgupto from Chittagong Public Works Division, and contractor MD. Moin Uddin Chowdhury.

On Saturday, November 11th, Telegraphindia.com and Anondo Bazar said that in Kashmir’s Srinagar Dal Lake, at 5 a.m. in the morning, several floating houseboats were seen burning.

The houseboats almost burned into ashes. Three dead bodies of Bangladeshi tourists were collected, and Srinagar Police confirmed their identification. Another tourist named Safina was at Pier No.9. India announced a total of eight deaths, including three Bangladeshis. Police informed the media that a total of 5 houseboats and 7 surrounding houses had suffered damages due to the excessive fire.
Three Bangladeshi deaths have also been confirmed by the Sub-division Executive of Rangamati Public Works Division, Mr. Joy Barua. The late Mr. Aninda Kawshal was from the CUET-04 Civil Engineering batch, and the late Mr. Emon Dashgupto was from the KUET-06 Civil Engineering batch.
Aninda went to India for some normal medical check-ups, for pilgrimage to Ajmer Sharif Dargah, and finally to Kashmir to travel, according to his office source. Mr. Emon was a relative of Mr. Nihar Ranjan Nondi, who is the Civil Sergeant of Rangamati District, Bangladesh.
The victim families have already contacted the Bangladesh Embassy in India regarding the return of the dead bodies. A family member of the dead needs to go and collect the body. The bodies will be released after the DNA tests. The family members already have their visas to travel to India, Mr. Nihar Ranjan Nondi informed.
Aninda Kawshal was known as a very cheerful and helpful person. His village is in Mirasshorai, Chittagong. He was an officer of the 30th BCS (Bangladesh Civil Service) and the father of two children, a daughter and a son.
For this utterly miserable death of the late Mr. Aninda Kawshal and others, the Dainik Gonokontho, CHT Media, and Dainik Giridorpon families are deeply saddened.
