Mykel das, Ranguniya correspondent :: The security wall collapsed in the intense currents of the waters of the Ichakhali canal from South Ghatcheck of Rangunia municipality.The 9 houses on the banks of the canal collapsed in the water.Hundreds of families are in danger.Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, municipal councilor of South Ghatcheck Ward said,Due to heavy rain and mountain collapses, the security wall collapsed in the adjacent areas of Ghatcheck culvert.9 houses have been destroyed.More than 100 homes in this area are in the face of river erosion.
Teacher Ranjan Barua said, The breakdown of Ichhamoti and Ichakhali canals has started in a new way after the flood water has come down.Hundreds of families have been threatened with breakdown of the canal in the culvert area.If the security wall is Reforms immediately , the families will be protected.Rangunia Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Kamal Hossain said, Various initiatives will be taken to prevent flood-hit roads, homes, and river erosion and Relief assistance will be provided to the affected families.
