Staff Reporter :: This is a story of humanity. SI Jahir is an great example of this humanity. After his joining in Rangamati District, he has done a lot of humanitarian works here. Sometimes he came in front to help the helpless, sometimes disables, also sometimes poor, as his ambition of life is only to help those helpless, poor people. Where the world is now full of self-centered, selfish people, it is very rare to found such people like him. He joined in Rangamati 19 October, 2019. Since then he has done his good works one after one. He is basically helping the indigent and helpless people of the society in various ways including finding wheelchairs, cash, winter clothes and relief items for the destitute, physically handicapped and helpless people.Some of the examples of his notable humanity works in rangamati are: Joykumari Chakma (40) of Mubachhari village of Bandhukbhanga union and Md. Abdul Jalil of Champaknagar area of Rangamati municipality, Kamal Hossain Prakash Raja Mia (14), Patient Nayan (35) who broke his spine in the accident at Vedvedi Muslim Para, AH Shukkur (20), who lost his leg in the accident at West, Selim (48), Anjumul (33), Kalonchari The driver, Helal, 45, provided them with a wheelchair.
He also involved himself in Kaptai Lake, relief to the affected fishermen, relief to the helpless and the needy in the reserve fire. Besides, financial and relief assistance to the physically challenged Tania of Champaknagar, Achma, the only daughter of the discriminating Muslimpara cancer patient, and also many other various humanitarian activities. During the lockdown period on Ramadan time going peoples house to give them iftar and welfare. On that work he was getting helped financially from Canada expatriate Nasir Kashem. He also got helped by department officers. He also get praised on his previous workplace in Ramgonj to help the physically handicapped and poor helpless people. On this matter SI Jahir mentioned that to work closely to the people Police had the chance to help people. He also mentioned on his good work he is being helped by SP, ASP and also other officers of Police Department.
