Leaders of the Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh have claimed that the situation in Corona has deteriorated due to the short sightedness and mismanagement of the government. Corona deaths in the country are on the rise, they say, as the situation spirals out of control. Urgent effective action must be taken.
The leaders made the call at a virtual meeting of the party’s central committee on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by party general secretary Saiful Haque.
Central leaders of the party Bohnishikha Jamali, Akbar Khan, Anshar Ali Dulal, Rashida Begum, Nirmol Barua Milon, Snigdha Sultana Eva, Arbindu Bepari Bindu, Sheikh Mohammad Shimul & Jui Chakma addressed the meeting.

At the meeting, the leaders said that the current situation cannot be addressed by announcing to bring 21 crore vaccines next year. Vaccine import activities need to be intensified. We have to make arrangements to provide people of all walks of life in the shortest possible time. They demanded immediate registration of citizens on the basis of any identity card and intensification of vaccination activities.

The leaders said that due to the severe lock down announced by the government, millions of workers, laborers and low-income people have been deprived of food and livelihood and are in dire straits. Many are now half-starved. The government has left millions of these needy people to their fate. They called for taking necessary steps to ensure that food and cash reach the starving people on an urgent basis.
