Panchari correspondent :: To reduce the food crisis of the Sajak area,The rice was distributed. 10 kg rice is distributed to every family. 100 families are given this rice from Panchari upazila side of Khagrachari district.
The rice was distributed by a volunteer organization called “Pahari Chhatra and Jana Ukya Kalyan Samity” in Panchari upazila.
The rice was distributed at Sajak on Wednesday 10 May under the leadership of Rupayan Chakma, a teacher of “Logang Bazar Model High School”.
At the time, Sajek Union Parishad member Sushila Chakma, member Dhantila Tripura were present.
Kaligar Chakma, Nantu Muni Chakma, Man Kiran Tripura of Shanti Para village and Majalong Bazar villagers Abdul khalek said, Some times we are living without eating meals , Many times it does not get it. With this rice we can eat rice for 3-4 days.They also said that most families in the area are not getting any food. Fertility of soil in this area has decreased. Without banana cultivation, there is no yield. That’s why we have this situation today, Said the Villagers. ‘
Pahari Chhatra and John Oikya Kalyan Samity’, President Dipan Chakma and General Secretary Ronal Chakma, member Darshan Chakma, Hitoshi Chakma and Amar Bikash Chakma said - We have collected the distribution of rice from the villages of Panchachari upazila in the last two weeks.
We are happy to deliver this rice to the sufferer of Sajek.They requested to conscious people and different organization’s for Distribute of rice and different food for the Sajek people’s.
